This was the very first hand building project we did the first week of class. This is my pinch pot I made. We started off with a ball of clay and you had to push into to and keep pushing on it until you got the shape you want. after I did that I made the tops of it a little cooler. I indented the sides. After that I made holes all over the pinch pot.Then it got fired and then I glazed it a pretty green. I thought it was pretty good for my first project.
This was my second hand building project.This is my coil project that I made. Making the coils were kinda tricky because it depended on what size you wanted them to be and then turning them into coil was hard. I had trouble with this one cause mine would always crack and then I would have to fix it. Overall I think it turned out okay but I definitely thought I could have done better.
This was my third and final project for the first week of hand building. This is my slab box. To me this one was kinda easy but there was a lot of steps that you had to follow in order to make the box look right. I made my into a square and then I wanted to add on something more. So I added on the flower on the top so that it would be easier to get the lid off of it. This one was probably my favorite to make.
